The kittens

Edward

Edgar

The two boys are quite difficult to tell apart...but once you know what to look for, it is easier. Edgar has all white socks and is all white on his belly. Edward has some brown on his front left paw, like his sock is dirty, and has 'vest buttons' on his belly. Most distinctive however, is on Edward's pink nose there is a little black spot, giving him a little mustache.

When they were little, Edgar was the 'love muffin'... the first one to venture into something new. Edward was a bit more shy...but once he warmed up, he was equally affectionate.

The First Week

They were born on a chilly March day to a stray mother who had had the sense to find a home with a human before she gave birth. They had one sister who stayed with their mom and her new human, and the two boys came to live with us. We brought them home to live with us eight weeks later in May. We were amazed at how much they looked like each other, and we were at a loss what to name them. We decided to use the middle names of each of our fathers, and so they came to be known as Edgar and Edward. And we were very happy to have them in our lives.
